OVERLAND PARK, Kansas — BranchPattern (listed as M.E. GROUP) is ranked in the top 25 of national Commissioning firms, according to Consulting-Specifying Engineer (CSE) magazine’s annual 2018 Commissioning Giant survey. BranchPattern is reported as the 20th largest Commissioning provider in the United States.

“We have provided Commissioning services for the last 15 years, helping assure buildings work well,” said Nate Maniktala, Building Science practice lead for BranchPattern. “We’re continuing to grow our capabilities and offer better quality control for our clients; this Commissioning Giant ranking helps recognize that growth.”

Building Science Capabilities and Growth

Some of BranchPattern’s growth has come from adding both research and testing experts in acoustics, enclosures and health.

“In addition to our foundation in MEP system testing, we now have the ability to more holistically manage the quality of the entire building,” Maniktala added. “Project goals often include extending the life of the facility, reducing operational costs, and better meeting occupant needs. Commissioning is a quality assurance process that validates these goals are achieved.”

The BranchPattern Commissioning team is currently working on projects in 36 States and 5 countries. Their largest clients include educational institutions, real estate developers, and health systems.

“We enjoy serving clients across their portfolio. Building solid relationships and getting to know clients better allows us to be stronger advocates for them,” Maniktala said.
