BranchPattern is pleased to announce the results of our updated JUSTSM label, Version 2.0. To ensure label accuracy, each report has an expiration date. Companies that wish to renew their labels and show improvement over time, may provide updated policy disclosures to JUST’s managing body, The International Living Future Institute.
JUSTSM is a voluntary transparency program and tool that rates an organization’s social justice and equity, based on specific and measurable accountabilities which acts as a sort of “nutrition label.” The organization is rated based on the following indicators:
Diversity & Inclusion, Equity, Employee Health, Employee Benefits, Stewardship, Purchasing & Supply Chain
This updated merit continues to reflect BranchPattern’s internal policy efforts to be more accessible to clients, partners and employees. Having received our first label in 2018, we are excited to show the improvements we have made over a short period, such as the formation of a stewardship committee, WELL-certifying offices, and the creation of a women’s group for employees called “TeacHER”, while acknowledging there is more work to be done.
“As a building consultancy, BranchPattern has advocated for greater transparency in building performance and construction materials. That type of transparency is just as appropriately applied to how we run an organization. The JUST label helps shine a light on the areas that our company is excelling, as well as providing a framework through which we can identify areas that need improvement in our goal to contribute to a more equitable and socially just future,” said Pete Jefferson, BranchPattern Principal.
