Q.What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?A.I love being on teams that are solving challenging problems on a daily basis. Some are very small, but once solved, they can unlock the answer to much larger issues that affect our projects and customers. It seems like we frequently have these “aha!” moments in our work, and that never gets boring!Q.Who or what inspires you?A.I am always inspired by people I see combining effort with a passion for their work. I believe that the people that have the greatest impact are rarely the most naturally talented - but rather are those that combine their passion with a strong work ethic, and I love working with them the most.Q.What does 'Improving Life' mean to you?A.'Improving Life' means leaving the world a better place for my kids. I think we tackle some real issues on both a micro and macro scale in our work. If we can bring ideas to bear that help raise the bar for our industry, that’s a success. To me, it means getting the schools that our kids learn in to be healthier and net-zero. It means working with owners to find ways to do ecologically sensitive projects that still work for their pro forma. If we can be good listeners and problem solvers, I believe that we can work with lots of different interests to leave this world a better place for generations to come.
