Using Commissioning to Protect an Investment in Tomorrow’s Leaders
The University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Business Administration is the fastest-growing college on the campus. To meet these growing needs, $84 million in private donations were raised for the new building at the heart of campus.
The project’s design features high-performance strategies with a target of LEED Gold Certification. BranchPattern implemented a total building commissioning process as outlined in the ASHRAE/NIBS Guideline 0-2005, as well as LEED®-NC v2009 credit EAc3 Enhanced Commissioning as a quality-oriented process for achieving, verifying and documenting that the performance of the facility, systems and assemblies meet the University’s defined objectives and criteria. Building envelope commissioning was also performed by BranchPattern referencing ASTM E2813-12 standards with an emphasis on technical peer reviews and testing of thermal performance.
